MOELLER FAMILY PRAYER UPDATE

July 16, 2005 -- Pietermaritzburg, South Africa

1.  Hammarsdale Bible Study – The Lord continues to bless this new church plant.  We have been going there for over three months now and we are excited to see what the Lord is doing.  Let me give you some of the highlights --We are averaging over 20 in attendance each week.
--We have had a high of 36 in attendance
--7 have accepted Christ as Savior
--Last week we had 12 young Zulu men in the services (twenty plus year olds)
I am currently teaching on baptism and they are actively considering this important step!
Cheri baked a couple of birthday cakes for one of the young ladies a week ago and we had a nice birthday party after the services.  This really helps to build relationships.
Please pray that we will continue to build relationships, touch lives, and teach truth in the community there.
2.  Osizweni Bible Baptist Church – It is still exciting to me to see this church under the leadership of Pastor Sibusiso Makhanya continue to take steps toward maturity.  Recently:
--They have had both a Friend Day and a revival meeting all on their own (10 precious souls were saved).
--They gave 11 folding chairs to the new church plant in   Hammarsdale
--They even re-started their mid week prayer service and outreach ministry, all
   on their own.
Please keep them in your prayers for sustained growth
3.  Son has returned   – Our eldest son, Rich, has returned to the United States after a years service with us in South Africa.
Rich really helped us while he was here.  In fact, there are many things that would have been much more difficult to attempt this last year without him.  Believe me, he got a wide experience in his short time here.      A LOT of different things happened in that year's time!
Thanks to those of you who have supported him.   His current plans are to be approved as a short-term missionary through the BBF in September 2005 in Taylor, Michigan.
Please pray for him as he raises additional support to continue his preparation as a missionary.
4.  Preparations for furlough – Cheri and I will be back on furlough in the USA from September 2005 until April 2006.  We are currently booking our calendar and have some dates still open.  If you would like for us to visit you while on this furlough, we will do our best to work it out.
Please pray that this will be an effective and beneficial furlough for us.
Please pray also for us as we try to tie up the countless loose ends here in South Africa in anticipation of a seven month absence.
5.  FLIGHTS – You will remember that Cheri has had three seizures on airplanes in the past two years.  It has really been a jolt to her health situation and we have been scrambling ever since to try to find help for her.  We are doing our best to arrange our flights in such a way as to make it as easy on her as possible.  It has been pretty difficult for both of us – her having the seizures and me having to watch (and worry)!
Please pray with us that she will have good flights and no more seizures.
